Denton Comic Studies Conference

The Ms. Marvel star's first solo writing project, Chachu #1, has officially sold out at the distributor level and Image Comics is already rushing the issue back to print to meet demand.
Set in 1979, Chachu follows 19-year-old Pakistani-Canadian film and pulp novel fan Leila as she travels to California to reconnect with her estranged uncle, a former private investigator. When his wife mysteriously disappears, the two find themselves pulled into a road trip mystery involving family secrets, grief and the fantasies they've built their lives around.
Vellani draws from her own life to give the story a personal touch, with art from Marianna Ignazzi and colors from Eisner Award winner Jordie Bellaire.

Cosplay Karaoke is back!
Bramblitt's Yellow dog is once again partnering with the DCAE to put on Cosplay Karaoke just a few hours after the Denton Comic Art Expo. The Expo ends at 5 and the singing starts at 9 PM so you'll have enough to time to have dinner and a nap before Karaoke!

You do not need to be in costume to take part but it is a lot of fun if you do!
