Frank Borman Elementary- an IB World School

Frank Borman Elementary- an IB World School PreK - 5th Grade
Denton ISD Borman Elementary is known for its community support and has one of the largest mentoring programs in Texas.

The school, built in 1970, was named after Frank Borman, a NASA astronaut and commander of the Apollo 8 spacecraft. Borman is an International Baccalaureate World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), providing students with a strong academic base that focuses on the development of a child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and outside in the world. The school also functions as a Dual-Language campus to produce bilingual and bi-literate students.

What a wonderful day of learning at Borman! 💙💛

Today, our staff came together for a full day of professional learning focused on strengthening Tier 1 instruction. Teachers explored academic cognitive engagement, the internalization process, and IB Approaches to Teaching and Learning.

We are grateful for a team committed to learning, reflecting, growing together, and always keeping our students at the heart of our work.

We are so grateful for the Lively Literacy Ladies and the incredible time and care they poured into Borman! 💙💛 Our literacy library looks amazing and, more importantly, is organized in a way that makes these resources easier for our teachers to access and use with students. Thank you for supporting our teachers and our Borman students!
