On Thursday and Friday we will be hosting rounds at the
UNT Frisco Campus.

This past weekend UNT Debate competed in the IPDA semester opener hosted by Butler University.
Two tournaments into the semester and already two champions.

UNT Debate Started our spring semester before the University even opened back up. While some debaters were at home over break, ours were winning ballots and cutting cards.

Right before break UNT Debate sent a team to the FR Shirley & ADA Fall Championship held by Wake Forest University. In the JV division the team UNT VB went undefeated and grabbed the top seed.
Emanuel Vargas was awarded the Top speaker out of all 80 speakers in the JV division. And Ronen Bowman placed 12th They made it all the way to the JV Championship finals, placing 2nd in the tournament!
Great job to all competitors. Go mean green!

To start off the month of November UNT Debate Competed at the 2025 Fall TIFA Championship tournament held at Tyler Junior College. Much like the host school, the results we got were great.

What was UNT Debate up to for the month of October?
WINNING.
This past month our team competed in two tournaments.
First we went to the University Of Houston Policy Tournament where we met with some alumni, and picked up some hardware.
UNT BP - JV CX quarterfinalists!
Then we virtually competed at the Uark Razorback Rumble Tournament where we competed in and brought back trophies in both IPDA and TIPDA.

Congratulations to UNT JW (Zach Jones & Joseph Wofford) as their NDT/CEDA debate career came to a close at the 79th National Debate Tournament at Gonzaga. The pair picked up wins against Cornell, CSU Long Beach, and Towson. 🦅💚
