Denton ISD Fine Arts welcomes McNair Elementary’s Music Teacher Ms. Kate Stedman!

Ms. Stedman has been teaching elementary music at Paloma Creek Elementary for the past two years, and is very excited to join the McNair community. Ms. Stedman has led her campus choir, as well as teaching the ukelele ensemble and supporting honor choir students. Ms. Stedman coordinated her campus Talent Show, the choir sang at the Braswell Baseball Youth Night, and she prepared several campus performances like Earth Day, Veteran's Day, and zone and campus choir concerts. Ms. Stedman graduated from the University of North Texas in Choral Music Education, and completed her clincial teaching with Denton ISD at Cross Oaks Elementary and Rodriguez Middle School. Ms. Stedman has taught private voice and piano lessons, conducted the UNT UpFront! Choir, served as a section leader in the UNT West End Jazz Ensemble, and performed in UNT Opera and A Capella Choir performances.
