Congratulations to the Strickland Jazz Band for receiving a superior rating at the Chet Baker Jazz Contest. Congratulations to Ryan H.S. Jazz Band for their superior rating as well!

Today was a great day for the SMS bands! So proud that I was able to take two bands to UIL and enjoy great performances by the students!

Tomorrow is the big day, it's back to school! Honor Band sectionals start this week, I'll see the Altos and Horns in the morning at 7:30!

WIth Denton ISD closing school tomorrow our Winter Concert will be postponed, more details coming very soon. Check your emails. The students involved in Full Orchestra should plan to participate in the Orchestra Concert on Tuesday evening.

No school tomorrow, the next time I see you is on the day of our concert!

It's game day for the Viking Band! The Honor and Concert Band will be playing at the SMS vs. RCMS 7th grade game tonight at Ryan HS from 5:30-8pm.

It was a great first week in the Strickland band hall! Looking forward to an exciting year.
