Hello to my readers of these words of wit! I've had an interesting couple of weeks going into the hospital for a possible neurological problem only to find it was a heart problem. Left the hospital with a pacemaker implanted in my chest and haven't felt this good sense my last group of students received their A&P certificates. If I had as many students as I have companies calling and emailing me for A&P and FCC GROL licensed employees I would have to go on a hiring frenzy myself. We have new equipment in our skills center so if you would like the dime tour, feel free to call. I can't over state the importance of being certified if you want to be employed. Call or email and we can get you on your way.

New and Improved
This, the only OFFICIAL Aviation Courses Limited page. Advance your career with FAA certification or FCC licensing. We will get you passed your exam.
We have finally brought our webpage up to the standards that Google and all of the rest of the companies and sites desire. We had Mr. Dale West From Mad Scientist web designs rework the coding and make necessary changes. Dale is a former Army serviceman who decided the military was good but he wanted something better. We have added new equipment to our skills center to enable you to have actual hands on experience in order to pass your oral & practical examinations. For our IA students, we have added a new service that will enhance your ability to do annuals. We did a survey of person's holding the IA rating and found that MANY have never done an annual on a small aircraft nor anything to use their authorization except to tell their friends tat they have one. We are going instruct you in how to do an annual and participate in doing a progressive inspection. We know that many of you and myself have taken the seminar for renewal of our inspection authorization. Remember, we are supposed to do a minimum of four annuals or six major modifications per year to keep our Inspection Authorization in force. We are also allowed to take an eight hour seminar in lieu of the annuals/modifications. What we are proposing to you is a normal 100 hour inspection on various aircraft that will be real time but for the classes sake, we will furnish the paperwork as if you had done an annual inspection. We would like some input to see if there is any interest in this. Nope, it's not free but it won't break the bank either.
We have had several people sign up for our FCC classes. Most people think that the GROL license and Radar endorsement lead to working in the back shop only. For people who have contracted, you usually work as an A&P with a specialty. Normally A&P's prepare the aircraft for inspection and the various trades do a special job. If you don't do Airframe work, engine work, or electrical, you're the first to go home. The GROL license will keep you working because there's always electrical modification on the majority of commercial aircraft while in check.
Sorry about such a long post but we had a lot to say!
Remember, there is NO shortage of jobs in the aircraft industry. There IS a shortage of certified A&P technicians and licensed FCC electricians.
Have a Great remainder of this month and a Better April.
It's been some time since I've written a post here. Several things have happened but all in all, the companies doing fine. We are going to add another course to our company and we fill it will improve the Aviation field. We are still awaiting inputs but will soon announce this completely new concept in training. We recently had Covid hit our place of business and me personally. I have completely recovered from the effects and it is not a fun disease to get. I took what's considered an "off-lapel" protocol that worked 100% to kill the virus. To me, the actual symptoms of the virus was much worse and after I tested positive, I immediately started taking the protocol and within a day the fever and other symptoms were gone. My quarantine period is over and I haven't felt this good in weeks. We are having our shop space disinfected to kill any remaining virus. We now have even more projects to help you in your quest to receive your A&P. Call us to schedule your classes.
Enjoy your day and from all of us at Aviation Courses Limited, Happy New Year!
We haven't posted anything for a while due to so many changes in our political circus we don't know what may change from day to day. It's had a detriment on the companies who are constantly in need of certified an licensed aircraft maintenance technicians. The mask mandate now followed by the vaccine mandate has thrown both large and small companies into turmoil to the point some are closing the doors to began making plans for the feasibility of outsourcing their work to other countries. We have been consistent in our approach to these basically unconstitutional executive ordered mandates. We have our basic corona virus check point that we are required to have. What does this consist of? We take your temp. before entering our facility. We ask you the standard questions concerning your possible exposure and if you are taking our hands-on class we furnish gloves to protect your hands and the spin off we protect each other from the CCP virus. I personally feel that this vaccine mandate will be cancelled due to the stupidity of it to begin with. That's all I will say about MY personal conclusions about this latest program to strip the workforce. We have just completed a complete updating of all of our computer based programs and we can honestly say if our directions are exactly followed you will pass each and every exam. We know that there are some people (myself included) that have problems with taking and successfully passing examinations. We have a solution built into our programs that again, when our students follow directions they pass. It even shocks us occasionally!! For our hands-on program we are continually adding projects to keep you abreast with the oral & practical examinations. Some of the DME'S we send our students to tell us that in some cases we seem to over train our students! In reality we want to train not to the level of passing the examinations but being to use the training to further your skill set to make you more employable. Despite my some what negative earlier outlook for the industry, There are thousands of jobs in the aviation maintenance field. You may not go to the desert anymore as a contractor but wherever there are aircraft, there is maintenance and modifications to be done. What does this mean to you if you can't seem to rise above the level of helper due to a lack of certification or license, CALL US! Have a safe, enjoyable month ahead.
Skip Davis, AVIATION COURSES LIMITED, LLC
Another month has zipped by! We have completely updated all of our courses to ensure you pass the computer examinations. In addition we have added new projects to our hands-on class. Every time one of our new students goes to the DME we ask if new projects have been added onto the practical examinations and if they have we start trying to find the parts to give you new projects and processes. We still advise you while studying for the Oral part of the examination to be a " answering machine with correct answers" because when you come to my shop for the final prep, I can't tell you Not to test but if you haven't studied, I will tell you that it's your money and your time. We have been fortunate that in the past 3 years our first time pass rate is close to 98% and if they screw up the first O&P, the return is always a winner. Some of the reasons for not passing, #1, not preparing enough on the oral. #2, not listening to the DME and actually arguing with him, Not following my instructions to look up everything in the books and Keeping the instructions open when doing a practical subject. It's to your best advantage to quit wondering should I, can I, or putting off receiving your various NEEDED certifications, authorizations or licenses. The words coming down that not certified, no license, NO job. If the companies can't get American's to fill the jobs, they are already going to other countries to hire technicians as contractors to come HERE, the states. You might as well face it the MRO's and aerospace companies will stay in America as long as the bottom line is met. A lot of heavy maintenance has already moved offshore and more are planning. So many Americans are so used to having everything they will be devastated when their new boss speaks Broken English because English is not his native language. So what is all of this saying to you? PREPARE yourself to survive in this industry by training and licensing or check out another industry like flipping burgers! That wasn't nice but I'm getting so many inquiries about empty jobs I'm wondering what's happening. Til next time, Keep safe and we have what you're looking for...shut off Facebook and give us a call!
We have had a tremendous month at Aviation Courses Limited! People are finally realizing that being unemployed or worse, Underemployed Sucks! Despite whats going on with our "LEADERSHIP" in Washington, if you don't prepare yourself with the educational benefits available, enjoy $15.00 an hour if you can live that way. The airlines and MRO'S are having a tough time meeting their schedules due to a lack of certified/licensed employees. There are so many jobs available we are going to design a jobs board due to the amount of jobs called in to our team everyday. Ask an employee of a major airline how long it takes to top out salary wise and what they are paying, and this doesn't include the perks that are included. Mro's are now arranging flight perks for their employees with their airline customers. It's time, people! there's so much financial aid out there you can get all of our programs and guarantee your salary upon completion. Now think how your experience differs from a 18 month A&P school. Why are you put on the top of the hiring applications? Proven work attitude, experience, and real world knowledge. Make your time in the service or OJT work for you. We've got the programs to make it happen! Be safe!
I'm sorry but I've been remiss in writing about our company. We have been out of town visiting several of our relatives who haven't done well under the governmental restrictions during the last several months. In addition we had to put down our lifetime friend and company pet, Lexi.
We are in the process of having our website re designed and all of our social media brought together to make our company easier to find on the various search engines. We will also start to push our other course offerings that have a direct impact on our aircraft pilot training courses and also flying the drones. We will be opening our non destructive training to other industries that require Level I, II, and III trained company representatives. We are constantly adding new subjects in our A&P hands on training to enable our students the ability to take and finish the oral & practical examinations.
We have decided to explore the possibility of selling Aviation Courses Limited. We have twenty four courses that are copyrighted in our name and with the advanced equipment and facilities it will be a turnkey buy. Our personnel will stay with the company to
ensure there is an orderly transfer of company business. We want to hasten to add that this is not a forced sale as our company is going into a huge growth period. We are in negotiations with several of our international customers who would like us to reaffirm our position in the global market and several US customers that have decided that our training programs will be the "go-to" company for aircraft maintenance training. Despite the blunders going on with our government, Aircraft Maintenance is still a hot field to be in. The industry needs certified technicians in all fields of aircraft. The definitive word is Certified Technicians. This means certified by the FAA, FCC, or any other governmental body.
This is a bit longer than usual but as all of you know, I say what I think and mean what I say. Feel free to call or visit us at either of our facilities. Until next time, Stay safe and be careful! Skip Davis
At this moment I've had six different companies inquire about A&P certified technicians. The jobs are there, maybe not the exact retirement position you're looking for but aviation jobs are there. It doesn't matter what kind of aircraft your background is in, military Helo's, fighters, bombers or tankers or civilian corporate or heavy maintenance, they all require A&P certification or Avionics licensing. We have the courses and the financing whether active duty, retired, laid off, looking for a job. We have the courses leading up to just about any aviation maintenance certification or license. The majority of employment is through contract houses but almost all contract jobs lead to offers of direct employment with the fringe benefits that stable companies guarantee. Aren't you tired of just being employed in a job that leads nowhere?
Our average courses take approx. 14 days from start to walking away with you're license in your pocket.
Time waits for no man or woman to prepare themselves for their future.
