I started with Saekson back in 2009/2010. I use to do a class with him every week and I’d bring my daughter with me for the class. She was around 4/5. He loved her. He played with her the whole time i was doing class. I honestly think he liked her way more than me. He would always tell me how much I sucked and asked me why I kept coming. And every week I’d say well if I suck so much why don’t you do a private with me. He looked at me every week and said no. I asked him every week for a year and finally he said ok. Once I started doing privates not only did i get better but he started inviting me to travel with him all over. I went to countless seminars across the country with him and countless fights. He taught me so much. I was never one of his fighters but he treated me like a friend and martial artist. And at the end of the day that’s what people really want. To be treated like they belong. He was really special. As a teacher myself i try my best to follow in the footsteps my teachers have layed out for me. I feel I come up short a lot. But when you train with legends and the best in the world the bar is set a lot of times out of reach. And that’s ok. Because in this world id much rather experience that than to have not. Walk on my friend. Rest easy knowing you left so many behind that will never let anyone forget your name or what you brought to so many. That’s a legacy. 🙇🏼❤️.

It gives me great pleasure to announce that Saturday October 10th 2026 we will be hosting the great Roger Gracie. we will be celebrating 30 years and I can’t think of a better way than to do it with one of the best of all time.
