Our Story

The UNT Staff Senate page is open to ALL UNT staff members and is the best place to get up-to-date info they need to know! UNT's Staff Senate was established in fall 1999. Elected members represent and provide service to more than 2,000 staff members at UNT. The UNT Staff Senate is the vehicle for peer leadership among the university staff. The Senate is made up of more than 30 elected members who represent more than 2,000 staff employees. Senate members receive input from and provide feedback to an assigned group of employees, who are considered their "constituents". The Senate meets 6 times per year in general session and the organization’s executive committee meets five times per year.

Why are we here?
* To refer issues and inform the University administration on items that are of interest and /or relevant to staff members
* To continue to improve the delivery of services to the University’s constituencies
* To foster communication within the campus community
* To advance the University’s mission
