The people that hit the beach knew the term service before self and were 100% devoted to bringing liberty to Europe. If able take a trip to Utah, Sword, Gold, Juno or Omaha beaches, it’s a trip every American should take.

On June 6, 1944, more than 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified French coastline to fight N**i Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France. May we never forget the sacrifice made 78 years ago.

Join us for this once in a lifetime event at Arlington National Cemetery this Veterans Day!

There will be a historical plaque dedication, naval symposium and 21-Gun Salute Ceremony at the Washington Navy Yard on November 9.

Then for the first time in nearly 100 years, the public will be able to walk the Tomb Plaza and lay a flower at the base of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to pay respects. This 2-day flower ceremony will be on November 9 and 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Veterans Day, November 11, there will be a series of events to commemorate the centennial and National Veterans Day Observance. There will be a Joint Full Honors Procession, a Joint Full Honors Flyover with 17 aircraft, and an Armed Forces Full Honors Wreath Laying Ceremony followed by the National Veterans Day Observance at ANC’s Memorial Amphitheater.
