Federal officials sent open-ended subpoenas to at least three Texas counties demanding private voter information, with plans to expand the requests to all 254 counties. LWVTX and our partners are sounding the alarm!
“The League of Women Voters of Texas is deeply concerned by ongoing federal efforts to obtain Texans’ private voter data. With that data already in federal hands, any new sweeping or vague requests should raise immediate red flags. County election officials should not release additional information without clear legal authority and guidance from their county attorneys.”
