Congratulations to the Denton ISD Class of 2026! 💜
A special shoutout to the seniors who once attended Calhoun Middle School. When you were here, you were Calhoun Cougars. Today, our students are Calhoun C**ts. The mascot may have changed, and the campus may look different, but the heart of Calhoun is still the same.
Thank you for returning to celebrate your Senior Walk and inspire the next generation of students walking these halls. No matter the building or the mascot, you will always be part of the Calhoun story. 🐾🐴💜🧡

🏀 Last Friday’s Staff vs. Students Basketball Game brought the energy, the laughs, the competition… and apparently, the staff still has a little game left in them.
Final Score:
Staff: 37
Students: 30
From big plays to crowd reactions, this was such a fun way to celebrate the end of the year together and build community across campus. Thank you to everyone who played, cheered, organized, and supported the event. 💜

This week, our 7th grade science students participated in frog dissections as their final lab of the year. Throughout the investigation, students explored body systems, identified internal organs, and made real-world connections to the concepts they studied in class this semester.
Labs like these give students the opportunity to practice collaboration, critical thinking, observation, and scientific inquiry in meaningful ways. It was incredible to see their curiosity, teamwork, and focus throughout the process.
A big thank you to our science teachers for creating engaging learning experiences that bring science to life for our C**ts!

Last night, the CMS Dual Language Department proudly celebrated our Dual Language graduates and the incredible commitment, perseverance, and growth these students have shown throughout their bilingual journey.
Being bilingual is more than speaking two languages. It is the ability to connect across cultures, build understanding, and lead in a global community. Our students have worked hard to reach this milestone, and we are so proud of the confident, compassionate leaders they are becoming.
Thank you to our families, teachers, and staff who have supported these students every step of the way. Congratulations to the CMS Dual Language Class of 2026!
Bilingual today. Global leaders tomorrow.
