Calhoun Families — Schedules are now available in HAC!

Please remember that schedules may change before the first day of school as our counselors continue leveling classes and making adjustments throughout August. All students will receive an official copy of their schedule on the first day of school.

📌 Schedule Change Reminders
Course selections are generally considered final. Schedule changes will only be considered during the first four days of class for:

• Schedule errors (missing class, two classes in the same period, course already completed, or prerequisites not met)
• Program or placement needs (audition classes, honors placement, dropping a sport/UIL activity)
Schedule changes will not be made for:
• Preferred lunch periods
• Classes with friends
• Teacher requests
• Changes that would overload a class section

Join us on Monday, August 17, from 6:00–7:30 PM for an opportunity to connect with the Calhoun community and prepare for a great school year!

During the evening, families can:

⭐ Receive help accessing HAC

Please note that this is a meet-and-greet event. Teachers will have sign-up sheets available for families who would like to schedule a parent-teacher conference.

Today, our Calhoun staff kicked off the new school year by reconnecting, collaborating, sharing a meal, and reflecting on the commitment each of us will bring to our school community.

Using foam airplanes, staff members recorded one meaningful commitment that students, colleagues, and families can consistently count on them to uphold throughout the year. We are excited to celebrate Mr. Born’s “Girl Power” DonorsChoose project, which was fully funded through a generous $985 donation from The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation!

This support will provide new soccer balls, shin guards, and training equipment for Calhoun GOAL students. Through soccer, the program helps our girls strengthen teamwork, build confidence, connect with their community, and grow as leaders—both on and off the field. An estimated 168 students will benefit from this project!

Congratulations to Mr. Born, and a huge thank-you to The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation for investing in our C**ts and helping bring the joy of soccer and play to our campus. This is collective commitment in action—together, we make the difference!

Reminder for Calhoun Girls Athletics families!
A mandatory parent meeting will be held Thursday, August 6, at 6:00 PM in the CMS Competition Gym (Big Gym). Please make plans for a parent or guardian to attend.

The newest members of the C**t family are officially in training!

Our first-year teachers spent the last two days learning, laughing, collaborating, and getting ready for an amazing school year at 's New Teacher Training. They were joined by Mr. Anderson, our campus New Teacher Liaison, who will be supporting and mentoring them throughout their first year at Calhoun.

We can't wait for our students to meet these incredible educators who will be joining our team. Here's to a year filled with growth, new adventures, and lots of C**t pride! 💜
