Gonzalez School for Young Children will be closed for the 2025-2026 school year. The Pre-K classrooms have been relocated to elementary campuses throughout the district.

Please contact the Denton ISD Pre-K department if you have any questions or need help with registration.

La proxima semana es la Semana de Apreciacion al maestro y al personal! Ayudenos a celebrar y agradecer a nuestro maravilloso personal de GONZALEZ SYC! Tenemos mucha suerte de tener a cada uno de ellos aca!

The students and staff at Gonzalez SYC practice a variety of safety drills throughout the year. Some of these include building evacuation, off site evacuation, weather, and lock down drills. By practicing these procedures regularly, we can respond quickly and appropriately in the event of an actual emergency. Parents will be notified via email and social media after safety drills have been conducted.
Today the children and staff participated in a fire drill. The staff and students did a great job of following the appropriate procedures in a timely fashion.

Los estudiantes y el personal de Gonzalez SYC practican una variedad de simulacros de seguridad durante todo el año. Algunos de estos incluyen la evacuación de edificios, la evacuación fuera del sitio, el clima y los simulacros de encierro. What a wonderful Field Day we had! It was a fun day!!! Thanks to all our volunteers and our wonderful PTA!!! The kids, the parents, and the staff had a blast!

Yesterday we celebrated Mrs. Ivette De Leon... our wonderful Paraprofessional of the year 2024-2025!!! What a great way to honor all the dedication and love she has for our students! Congratulations Mrs. De Leon! we are fortunate to have you at Gonzalez and we are VERY PROUD of you!!!
