Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 12, and join us for Denton ISD Day at the University of North Texas as the Mean Green take on UNLV!

Denton ISD students, families, staff, and community members can purchase tickets for just $10 each, making it a fun and affordable way to show your school spirit while cheering on UNT.

The celebration begins before kickoff with an exciting tailgate experience, followed by special performances from talented Denton ISD students. It's a great opportunity to come together as a district, celebrate our students, and enjoy an unforgettable day of college football.

🐝 A Quick Lunch Visitor Reminder! 🍎

To help our Honey Bees get into a great rhythm and establish our school routines, there will be no lunch visitors from August 13 through September 7.

💛 Starting September 8, parents and family members are welcome to join their students for lunch again!

Thank you for giving us this time to get our routines in place and help our students have a smooth start to the school year. We appreciate your support and understanding! 🐝✨

🐝 ARRIVAL, DISMISSAL & PARKING REMINDERS 🐝

As we get ready for a new school year, here’s what Newton Rayzor families need to know to help keep arrival and dismissal safe and efficient! 💛

🌅 MORNING ARRIVAL
⏰ Building opens at 7:10 AM.
🚪 Students enter through the front door, unless they ride the bus or RDSPD vehicle.
🚗 Car Riders: Use the car rider line for drop-off. Staff will help students safely exit. Please have your child unbuckled and ready to exit before you pull up. The car rider line is drop-off only—parents may not get out to help.
🚶 Walking In: Families may park at the First Denton parking lot or the parking lot across the street.
🍎 Breakfast: Served 7:10–7:35 AM. Students may eat in the cafeteria or wait in the gym. Parents may not eat breakfast with their child.
🏫 Students must be inside by 7:40 AM. After 7:40, a parent/guardian must walk the student into the office and sign them in.

🌟 NORMAL DISMISSAL
⏰ School ends at 3:00 PM.
🚌 Bus & daycare: Back of school
🚗 Car riders: Front of school
🚶 Walkers: East side of building facing Calhoun

🚗 CAR RIDER LINE: Enter only from the south side of the school on Bryan Street. Staff will help direct traffic and enter your car tag number to alert staff inside.

🏷️ A 2026–2027 car tag is REQUIRED for the car rider line. If you forget your tag, you must park and check out your child inside the office.

📣 If your child's dismissal plan changes for the day, please notify the office by 2:00 PM.

🐝 PK: Dismissal begins at 2:45 PM. PK walkers are released at the PK playground.

⏰ All students must be picked up by 3:15 PM.

💛 Please be patient during the first few days! Dismissal may take a little longer as everyone learns the routine.

🅿️ PARKING: Our school parking lot is for staff only to help keep students safe and ensure staff have parking. Please use the parking lot at the church next to our school when needed.
