The CARE Team is an essential part of our Intervention Services in the DOS office, but what is it exactly?

The CARE Team helps students navigate challenges by offering guidance and support in a safe and collaborative environment and provides a comprehensive response to students whose behavior could be harmful to themselves or others.

Students can refer themselves to the CARE Team or be referred by another student, faculty or staff, non-UNT guest, and community members if: They are feeling stressed, anxious, depressed, isolated, or overwhelmed; There is a sudden change in a student’s appearance, behavior, or personality; or There is a concern for harm to self or others.

You are not alone. We are to support you!

The CARE Team referral form can be found at report.unt.edu.

We've got another staff member to introduce! This time, we're branching out to talk about one of our pals in Union Suite 372!

Adam Tran is the Director of Student Legal Services which provides students with FREE and CONFIDENTIAL legal counseling as well as limited representation in most legal matters.

His favorite on-campus spot is the Environmental building because "the building itself projects a symbiosis of urban living and Nature."

Want a fun fact about Adam? He doesn't believe in having fun (and this is totally a true fact about him *wink wink*)

He also wants to let you know that he's really bad at Wordle but loves challenging people to beat him.

Check out Student Legal Services' website to learn more about what they offer or stop by their office on the 3rd floor of the Union!

Meet our Associate Dean of Students, Kacey Sebeniecher! She wants you to know that there are people at UNT that care about YOU!

Kacey's goal is to assist students who are navigating extenuating circumstances that are impacting them both personally and academically. Her favorite on-campus spot is the community garden and the bee sanctuary across from Crumley hall.

Fun Fact! Kacey was the captain of her high school golf team.

She is a part of many different areas within the Dean of Students office, including the CARE team, Seeking Options and Solutions, Survivor Advocacy, Withdrawal Intervention, temporary accommodations, Title IX, pregnancy accommodations, substance use education, collegiate recovery programming, and bystander intervention - visit the DOS website for more info about our programs.
