The ESS Team would like to sincerely thank Rowena for generously providing lunch for our team. Rowena has been a dedicated ESS substitute since 2025, and your kindness and effort truly made our day special.

We enjoyed an amazing spread that included:
Chicken
Jamaican ribs
Lemon pepper chicken
Beef with chimichurri
Broccoli
Mashed potatoes
Homemade chocolate chip chunk cookies
Pineapple and peach juice

Everything was absolutely delicious, and we are so grateful for the time, care, and love poured into this meal. Our ESS team truly felt appreciated.

As our school communities prepare for the unofficial start of summer—with field days, graduation ceremonies, and outdoor activities on the horizon—we pause to reflect and honor the true meaning of this weekend.

We remember and honor the fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Wishing our teachers, students, and families a safe and meaningful !

As we approach the busiest time of year for outdoor activities, field trips, sports days, and playtime, ESS is committed to keeping students safe from UV radiation.

With children accumulating up to 80% of their lifetime UV exposure during childhood, we are making sun safety a priority!

We are asking parents/guardians to help us:
✅ Slop on sunscreen (SPF 30+) before school.
✅ Slap on a wide-brimmed hat.
✅ Slide on UV-protective sunglasses.
✅ Seek shade during peak hours (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.).

Let’s ensure our students can enjoy the sunshine safely!

Denton ISD Child Nutrition will be serving free breakfast and lunch for kids 18 and under at select campuses around the district.

No sign up is needed. Just bring your student by any participating campus to eat with us and enjoy a healthy meal this summer.
