Matilda is coming to an end today and there is ONE last chance at 2pm to see these fabulous dedicated students perform for YOU!
Alyx Joyce is a junior at DHS and is thrilled to be a part of this production of Matilda. This is her second time performing in a musical. You may have seen me in the production of The Addam’s Family, where she had the opportunity to play both flute and saxophone. This time around, she’s excited to focus solely on the saxophone and contribute to the amazing sounds of Matilda. What she’s enjoyed most about being involved in Matilda is the incredible variety of music in the show. It’s been a joy to explore such diverse music styles. She would like to extend a huge thank you to all of her family and friends for their support. Your encouragement means the world to her, she couldn’t do this without you!
Matilda Tickets are available online, in the high school office and at the door.

Callie DeMerritt is a Senior in high school and is playing the guitar part on the keyboard in pit. This is Callie’s first year involved in the musical and she is super excited to get to play in the pit with her friends. Callie’s favorite activities include getting food with her friends, making pizookies, reading books, and taking pictures of her cats. She would like to thank her parents and little brother, Jackson, for supporting her, and Mrs. Kay Busse for teaching her how to play the piano. Callie hopes you enjoy the show!
Anya Joyce is a junior at DHS and this is her 2nd production. She performed in last year’s musical, The Addams Family, and is excited to be in the pit this year. She’s enjoyed playing the trumpet and all of the complicated solos throughout the piece. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and running track. She would also like to thank her brother Spencer, who drove her to all of the rehearsals, and her parents for supporting her.
