Let’s give a big welcome to one of our newest staff members!🤩

Meet Mr. Evan Rank, our new High School Social Studies Teacher. Evan grew up in Luxemburg, Wisconsin, and earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UW-Green Bay. This is Evan’s second year of teaching, following his first year in the Antigo School District. He is excited to continue his teaching career here in Denmark and become part of our school community!

In his spare time, Evan enjoys spending time with family and friends, hunting, golfing, and watching sports. He is a big fan of the Packers, Brewers, and Marquette basketball, so he’ll fit right in with plenty of our local sports fans!

Evan shared with us that he is happy to be back in a close-knit community and is looking forward to making a positive, lasting impact on his students and their families this year. We’re excited to welcome him to Denmark High School and can’t wait to see the difference he makes in our classrooms and community!

Let’s give a big welcome to one of our newest staff members!🤩

Meet Ms. Ella Keuler, our new High School Science Teacher. Ella graduated from Wrightstown High School before attending UW-Green Bay, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Education. She spent the past two years teaching science at Mishicot High School and is excited to bring her experience and passion for science to Denmark High School!

Ella currently lives in Wrightstown with her boyfriend and their dog, Millie. She has always been part of the extended community and loves calling this area home. In her free time, Ella enjoys being the “cool aunt” to her seven nieces and nephews. She also loves spending time with family and friends, exploring new places—including trails, restaurants, and local coffee shops—and enjoying the outdoors through fishing. When she’s not exploring, you might find her attending a concert!

Ella shared with us that she is excited to become part of such a supportive team and community. We’re excited to welcome her to Denmark High School and can’t wait to see all she brings to our students and classrooms!

Do you have bookshelves or boxes full of books that your child has grown out of or has already read multiple times? If you would like to find a new purpose for those books, please consider donating them to our school reading programs!
The DHS Global Scholars will have a donation box to accept gently used youth books at the Denmark High School Back-to-School Kickoff Tonight, August 27th. Just visit the Spanish department's table to drop off your books between 4-7pm!

💜💛 Earlier this week, our Middle School staff came back together to kick off a brand new school year!

This year's theme is Be The Reason: One Action. One Person. One Ripple.

MS Staff put that idea into action with a Ripple Investment Challenge. Teams were given $100 in "Ripple Dollars" and challenged to invest in the areas they believe could create the greatest positive ripple for our students, staff, and school culture.

The conversations, collaboration, and ideas shared throughout the day were a great reminder that even small actions can make a big difference.

We are excited to see those ripples take shape as we welcome our students back next week!

Let’s give a big welcome to one of our newest staff members!🤩

Meet Ms. Lauren Lucius, our new Director of Business Services. Lauren grew up in Ashwaubenon and earned her degree in High School Mathematics Education from UW-Oshkosh. She spent five years teaching in a small community between Milwaukee and Madison before earning her master’s degree in School Business Management from UW-Whitewater. She then moved to Stratford, Wisconsin, where she served as the Business Manager for three years. Lauren is excited to bring her teaching and school business experience to the Denmark School District!

When she’s not at school, Lauren enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors. She and her dog, Chevelle, have taken on a fun mission: visiting every state park in Wisconsin! We’re looking forward to hearing about their adventures as they work their way across the state.

Lauren shared with us that she chose Denmark because of the people. From the moment she walked into her interview, she felt at home and knew there was something special about the community. After hearing great things about the district and seeing the strong support from the Denmark community, she knew this was the right place for her.

Let’s give a big welcome to one of our newest staff members!🤩

Meet Mrs. Carissa Nusbaum, our new Director of Pupil Services. Carissa was born and raised in De Pere and continues to call the community home, where she lives with her husband, children, and dogs. While she isn’t quite an empty nester yet, her youngest is a junior at De Pere High School, her middle son is serving in the Navy, and her oldest is in his final year at UW-Green Bay. Carissa previously worked as a Special Education Teacher at Preble High School and West De Pere High School and most recently served as a Program Support Teacher in Neenah.

Outside of school, Carissa jokes that her biggest hobby is collecting dogs! Her family likes to tease that she gets a new dog to replace her children as they move out. Together, they enjoy fostering dogs and volunteering with Happily Ever After. Carissa also loves gardening, camping, hiking, and just about any activity that gets her outdoors. She enjoys all kinds of crafting and is currently spending her free time crocheting, sewing, and making jewelry—although she is always ready to learn a new skill and take on a new project!

Carissa is excited to bring her experience and passion for supporting students and families to the Denmark School District. We’re excited to welcome her to the Denmark team and look forward to all she will contribute to our schools and students!

Let’s give a big welcome to one of our newest staff members!🤩

Meet Mr. Coty Jagodzinski, a new Paraprofessional at Denmark Elementary School. Coty grew up in Green Bay and has worked as a paraprofessional in Green Bay, De Pere, and Two Rivers. Five years ago, Coty and his family moved to Denmark, where he now lives with his wife, their three children, and their dogs. He is excited to bring his experience to Denmark and become part of the school community right in his own backyard!

When he’s not at school, Coty enjoys staying active and spending time with his family. During the summer, you’ll find him golfing whenever he gets the chance, playing basketball, or heading up north to the family cottage. In the winter, he enjoys playing hockey, snowboarding, and taking the dogs for walks in the snow. The family also loves having the trail right down the road from their home in Denmark!

Coty shared with us that he is excited to be working right down the road from home and especially looks forward to working at the school his children will attend in the future. We’re excited to welcome Coty to the Denmark team!

Let’s give a big welcome to one of our new(ish) staff members!🤩

Welcome back, Mrs. Lindsy Frelich! Lindsy is returning to Denmark Elementary School as a 3rd Grade Teacher. She grew up in northern Wisconsin before moving to the Green Bay area for college. Lindsy and her husband now live in Maribel with their four children. She taught for seven years in the Green Bay Area Public School District before joining the Denmark School District, where she taught for three years. After taking the past two years to stay home with her children and grow their family, Lindsy is excited to return to the classroom and the Denmark Team!

Outside of school, Lindsy loves to read and explore the outdoors with her family. Their summers are filled with swimming, biking, and going for walks, while winter brings plenty of sledding, snowmobiling, and snowman-building!

Lindsy shared with us that she loves the welcoming community of the Denmark School District and is so happy to be back on the Denmark Team. We’re excited to welcome her back and can’t wait to see her back in the classroom!
