Our 2nd graders made math a little more delicious while learning to add two-digit numbers with regrouping! 🥨🧀 Students used pretzel sticks to represent tens and Cheez-Its to represent ones as they practiced adding and regrouping!

What a fun, hands-on way to build math skills and make learning exciting! Way to go, Bucs!

5th Grade Positive Behavior Auction! 💙❤️⚓

Our 5th graders had a blast participating in an auction using the positive behavior tickets they earned! 🎉 Students got to bid on some fun prizes, including candy, fidgets, certificates, and even a gift card! 🍬🎁

What a fun way to reward our Bucs for making good choices and showing positive behavior! Keep up the great work, Bucs! ❤️💙

Our first SSE Club Day of the year was a success!
❤️💙⚓️

💊 SADD Club: Students learned the difference between over-the-counter and prescription medications. They also discussed medication safety and the importance of only taking medicine given to them by a trusted adult.

🚗 STEAM Club: Students put their engineering skills to the test by building balloon-powered cars! They explored physics, energy, and the engineering design process while having fun creating and testing their cars.

📚 Book Club-The Bookaneers: Students read Mission Defrostable and joined a super-spy mission to solve a mystery! They explored story elements like characters, setting, problem, and solution before designing their own creative Ice Cream Man! 🍦

Shout out to Ms. Edwards for being nominated as our Cafe Champion for the month of September! Our cafeteria ladies nominate someone each month they feel makes our cafeteria a better place by showing kindness, support, patience, gratitude, and teamwork. This is what they had to say, “Ms. Edwards, you are always there to help us out and are always doing things to appreciate our cafe staff, and we very much appreciate you and everything you do!” We love our Southside Team! ♥️⚓️💙
