Well, we are halfway through this school year. If your kiddos, your student's, or anyone you know has a student who is needing help, please share this post. I work with K-3 for ELA and math.
Children must now pass ELA requirements to go to next grade. I highly recommend getting tutoring if their grades are low or they are struggling. Once they get behind, it is very difficult to catch up.
Many of you parents may think grade curriculum is like it used to be. In fact, kindergarten is the old first. grade and so on. Personally, I think the system is requiring more than most these kiddos are developmently ready for. Of course, that's is just my opinion.
What I am sure of is that once they get behind, it's very difficult to catch up. Teachers are expected to manage large classes with limited time and resources, parents have to work and can't always do what is absolutely needed at home in terms of one on one time. Even those who do, some children just don't respond as well to a parent as they will a tutor
I use multisensory techniques to teach. Since the brain is like a computer and our senses are like the wiring inputs to the brain, we need them to fully learn.
Not every child learns the same way. By using all senses(Hear it, See it, Say it, and Write it) in one on one setting, I can hopefully find the combination that works for each individual child.
I am committed to helping my students learn.
If I can help, send me a text. I prefer text because find it more efficient Include your name and what you need. I will save your contact information and get back to you ASAP. (I am one of those who doesn't answer unknown calls andisnot always available to answer phone.
