Mrs. Stringfellow’s Enrichment classes created genre bookmarks to help them with reading challenges, checked out new books, and explored Destiny yesterday in the library!

Today in Ms. Smith’s 6th grade science, students got to experience what it might be like to be an American black bear. Students looked at how the amount of available resources can impact a population and used their observations to determine what could cause a population to grow or decline. They then continued their learning by using World Book Online to research an animal of their choice. It was a great hands on lesson that helped bring population changes to life!

Big things happening in 6th grade science! Yesterday, Mrs. Freeman’s students visited the library to simulate real-world resources before jumping into digital research using World Book Online. We are so proud of how well behaved and engaged everyone was throughout the visit.

Welcome to a new school year in the library!

By Tuesday, all students will have visited the library with their classes to check out their first books of the year.

Need extra time to browse or grab a fresh read? Students can also visit the library before school during homeroom time…..just make sure to grab a hall pass from your teacher.

Please submit your signed technology agreement by Monday! All students need one on file to use school computers. 6th graders will bring laptops home starting Monday; 5th graders will keep theirs at school.
