She couldn't comfortably use her arm while riding her bike...
Her range of motion was limited, and what she was feeling wasn't necessarily just "pain."
That feeling of your body simply not moving the way you know it should.
Through myofascial release sessions AND consistent self-care between appointments, she's been able to regain more use of her arm and improve her range of motion.
And this little behind-the-scenes look shows you part of what we're actually doing on the table.
MFR isn't always big, dramatic movements.
You'll often see me using slow, sustained pressure, waiting, feeling how the tissue responds, and following the restrictions I find rather than simply attacking the spot that hurts.
Sometimes the progress we're going for is:
"Wait…I can use my arm again!"
"I can reach farther."
"I can feel good playing with my grandkids again!"
THOSE changes matter, too.
And I love that this progress didn't stop when she left my table. Learning how to care for her own body between sessions has been part of the process.
That's always my goal: treatment + education + giving you tools to help yourself.
Curious what an MFR session actually looks like?
