The line has officially moved into Indiana. Expect strong wind gusts from 60-70mph but a brief, spin up tornado is possible.

If you are anywhere between the two blue lines, be ready to take cover in the next hour. A confirmed tornado is currently down near Fairbury, IL and another tornado warned section of the line will soon be approaching Kankakee. We have about an hour until it crosses the state line, so hopefully we start to see some weakening very soon.

The strong line of storms continues to push through Illinois. Our current timing appears to be around 9:30-10pm. As the line moves east, it will slowly weaken, but will still certainly be impactful. I would expect gusts up to 60mph will be possible with a chance of a brief spin up tornado (low chance).

We will need to monitor this line as it moves in our direction.

A widespread severe weather outbreak is currently in progress out to our west with a few reports of confirmed tornadoes already. Tornado watches currently go up to the state line, so we will need to see if these get expanded east as the night goes on.
