University of Alabama campus. In Demopolis he also designed the house that Mr. and Mrs. John Northcutt live in, and the Khaki Webb house on Capitol Street.

The old school was built in 1912 by the city for use as the public school. it originally housed grades k-12. It was designed by Frank Lockwood, a Montgomery architect born in new jersey in 1866 and moved to montgomery with his parents in the 1890's. He designed school buildings, churches and houses all over the state, but most were located in Montgomery. He designed Comer Hall, Smith Hall, and Morgan Hall on the
