ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT SPOTLIGHT
Progress doesn't always show up as a medal or a personal record.
Today I want to recognize Amir for his achievementsthis in triple jump this past track season.
What stood out to me wasn't only his marks or time, it was how he handle the pressure in certain situations.
It was effort, attitude, coachability, consistency and confidence.
That's development.
Of course we're going to continue working on performance.
We're going to keep trying to get better.
But I also want athletes to recognize the small victories happening along the way.
Progress deserves to be recognized—even when there's still work left to do.
Great work, Amir.
Now let's keep building.
