Our 3rd through 5th grade bobcats enjoyed some flashlight reading in our new Media Center this past week. Reading has never been so memorable and fun!

Hi Families,

The Media Center is sponsoring a storybook pumpkin decorating contest this year. Pumpkins should represent a favorite book character. Please write the title, author, and name of the book on the form and present when entering. If you have the book, that would be great too. 😊

This is a pumpkin decorating contest so no carved pumpkins please. To decorate you can use paper, glue, pipe cleaners, markers, paint, fabric and other craft items on the pumpkin.

All projects should be submitted by October 23rd to the media center.

Pumpkins will be judged and announced at the end of the day on October 30th.

Pumpkins will be judged on:

Creativity

Originality

Craftmanship

The top three pumpkins chosen by the judges will receive house points, 1st place 20 points, 2nd place 15, 3rd place 10 and each entry will receive 1 house point. There will also be prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

We had a total of 69 students who did not miss a single minute of school in the month of September. A drawing was completed Friday morning and these students all won a set of earbuds (2 of them were BEATS Ear pods). Nice job to these students.

We are excited to recognize our first "Unleashing the Next Level" teachers of the school year for the month of October: Ms. McLellan and Ms. Lopez!

These outstanding educators consistently go above and beyond for our students and school community. Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to helping every student reach their full potential. Friendship Elementary is a better place because of you!
