Skylin Wasserman and Evelynn Courneya recently had the incredible opportunity to represent Delton Kellogg FFA at the Washington Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. Throughout the week, they learned what it means to be a leader through the themes We, Me, Do, and Serve,focusing on advocacy, teamwork, service, and creating positive change in their communities.
As members of The Rangers community group, they worked together to develop a Living to Serve (LTS) plan, set SMART goals, and build leadership skills alongside FFA members from across the country. On the way to Washington, they stopped to tour Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, gaining a deeper appreciation for our nation’s history. During the conference, they also visited Capitol Hill, the National Monuments, and other historic sites. On the final morning, they gave back by packaging meals for those in need, putting service into action. In their free time on the last day, they visited the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, reflecting on the importance of remembrance, leadership, and standing up for others.
Congratulations to Skylin and Evelynn for representing our chapter so well and bringing home new ideas, friendships, and leadership skills that will continue to strengthen Delton Kellogg FFA!
