43 students from kindergarten through grade 12 participated in Cedar Creek Christian School's 18th annual spelling bee held on Wednesday, April 19 and Thursday, April 20. Titus Manwarren took first place, Joy Manwarren took second, and Autumn Stephens took third. Congratulations, students!

Cedar Creek Christian School held its 17th annual spelling bee on Wednesday, May 18 and Monday, May 23. 44 students ranging from kindergarten through grade 12 participated, spelling words at grade level. Students were eliminated after misspelling two words. After thirteen rounds, only three students remained; and by round 15, a winner was determined. Joy Manwarren took first place, correctly spelling "emptiness." Kaylyn Guhl came in second, and Titus Manwarren came in third. Well done, students!

7th-12th grade parents, don't forget that there will be an instrument fitting on Monday for students who are planning to participate in band class this year and still need an instrument. It will start at 3 (the usual pickup time) so you can observe the process and ask any questions you might have. Students still deciding whether to participate are still encouraged to come so they don't miss out on this important initial step. Hope to see you there!
