🔎📚 Civics Scavenger Hunt in Mrs. Johnson’s Class!

Learning came alive as students tackled Unit 2 Civics concepts through an interactive scavenger hunt! 🇺🇸 Students searched for clues, matched key vocabulary to their definitions, and explored concepts related to Congress, lawmaking, the branches of government, and the Constitution.

As the instructional coach, I engaged students in critical thinking by challenging them to explain WHY an answer choice was correct and WHY the other choices were incorrect. Students used their knowledge, made connections, and justified their thinking with evidence.

🎯 The goal: Go beyond choosing the right answer, understand the WHY behind it!

When students explain their reasoning, defend their choices, and learn from errors, deeper learning happens!

🦅💙💛 CARVER MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRESS SPOTLIGHT! 💛💙

Our eaglets are making progress with Reimagined Khan Academy! 📚📈 We are celebrating student engagement, skill development, and every step toward proficiency. While we are proud of the progress so far, we are still working toward our goal of increasing student participation and helping more students reach proficiency! Every lesson completed, every skill strengthened, and every minute of practice brings us closer to success.
