🍎 Delran Education Association Board of Education Meet the Candidates Night Recap 🍎

Thank you to all the community members who joined us this past Tuesday at Delran Middle School for our 3rd Annual BOE Meet the Candidates Night!

The DEA was proud to provide a forum for the community to hear directly from the candidates. Delran is fortunate to have five very qualified community members including Jeff Dzuranin, Danielle Arangio, Kristen Holcomb, Mark Chierici, and Dan Riola vying for three seats in this November's election.

During the forum, the DEA had the opportunity to ask candidates about their viewpoints on several vital topics affecting our schools and students, including:
• Vision and Goals
• Teacher and Staff Retention
• Support for Students with Special Needs
• Equity and Data
• Community Engagement
• Board Responsibilities and Decision-Making

We appreciate each candidate's dedication to our schools and community!

Our community is heartbroken by the tragic loss of Priscila Alvares Pereira Dos Santos. Seeing a child drowning in the Delaware River in Delran, she rushed into the water and successfully guided the girl to safety, but tragically lost her own life.

Priscila made the ultimate sacrifice to save a child. As educators, our hearts ache for her husband and two young sons. Please consider supporting her family during this unimaginable time. 💛🤎
