🌫️ Smelling smoke or noticing a heavy haze in our area?

If you've stepped outside today, you might have noticed a distinct smoky smell and hazy skies. This is due to active wildfires currently burning up north in Canada. Shifting wind patterns are pushing this smoke south into the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, with today and tomorrow expected to be the most noticeable days.

Health & Safety Precautions:
Because the air quality is reduced, we recommend taking a few simple precautions:
Sensitive groups—including children, older adults, and individuals with respiratory conditions (like asthma or COPD)—should reduce prolonged or heavy outdoor exertion.
Keep indoor air clean by keeping windows closed and setting your air conditioning to "recirculate" if possible.
Listen to your body and head indoors if you begin coughing, wheezing, or experiencing shortness of breath.
🚨 Please Note: Only dial 911 if you see active, localized flames or a distinct, rising column of black smoke OR if you are having a medical emergency!
Stay safe, healthy, and informed!
