Kids are headed back to school and that means an increase in traffic from school buses 🚌, pedestrians 🚶‍♀, and cyclists. 🚴

⚠️ Keep them SAFE – slow down in school zones. ⚠️

It's the first day of school! Please use extra caution while driving and keep an eye out for students making their way to school. We're thrilled to welcome everyone back for the 2026-27 school year!

With First Day of School we will encounter extra traffic. Please allow yourself more time when traveling through town tomorrow. A friendly reminder that each school has drop off zones. Check parentsquare for more information specific to your student's school. Travel safely.

August is Back to School Safety Month. As students head back to school, let’s work together to keep every trip a safe one.

• Slow down in school zones and obey posted speed limits.
• Stop for school buses when required.
• Watch for children crossing streets.
• Put the phone away and stay focused behind the wheel.
• Give extra space to students walking or riding their bikes.

A few extra seconds of caution can make all the difference. Let’s help every student arrive safely this school year. 🚌

First Day of School is tomorrow, Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
Check parentsquare messages for information on transportation, lunch menus, and make sure student data confirmation is completed. Don't forget - ALL schools will be following a minimum day schedule for the first day of school.

Please note that all Delhi Unified School District school site offices and the District Office will be closed on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. as our staff participates in Professional Development.

Regular office hours will resume at 11:00 a.m.
