Professor Sinstack and students in the Renewable Energy Integration program toured the New York Power Authority's Blenheim-Gilboa generation facility today and learned about their unique hydro-electric operation using stored energy from their 360 acre reservoir that sits 1000 ft. above the generation facility. Due to strict security, this is the only picture of the facility that was allowed to be taken on the tour.

Sophomores in the Utility Operations and Renewable Energy Integration program took a field trip to the local DCEC substation where they met with the Co-op's crew to discuss substation fundamentals. Experiential learning at its finest!

Wednesday and Thursday of this week, the SUNY Delhi Electrical Program hosted six different vendors for a tool and equipment expo. Students were able to visit with the vendors and put there hands on many of the different tools, equipment and PPE that they will encounter once they enter the field. Huge thanks to Hanes Supply Inc. for helping to set this up and thanks to the following vendors that spent the day with us demonstrating their products: Milwaukee, FallTech, Superior Gloves, Arc Rated Safety, Greenlee and Rigid Tools and Leviton

This past weekend, our student chapter of NECA attended the annual convention and expo. This year it was located in Philadelphia. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the club officers, members and advisors, they were the recipients of a national award for chapter of the year. Congratulations to the club!
