The DA PTA and the West Kortright Center are excited to announce our after school programming for the 2026-2027 school year! 
    •    Registration Opens:
    ◦    September 17 at 7:30am for members
    ◦    September 18 at 7:30am for general public
    •    Programs begin September 28, 2026

Full house of artists for this years PTA cookies and canvas! Thank you to our local flower growers for donating beautiful tulips as subjects to paint! Grab a Mother’s Day bouquet from these farms: Four Roses (sold at good cheap food), Catskill Blooms ( pop up at stone sawyer Saturday at 10am) and Shepherds (sold Saturday at magpies).

And big thanks to everyone who came and painted with us! We love these relaxed evenings together and seeing all the creativity and talent there is in our community.

Our Earth Day Festival is TOMORROW - Saturday, April 18th, from 1-3pm, in the playground behind the elementary school, and the weather looks beautiful! From a giant group weaving project on school the fence, to natural and recycled textile printmaking, a make your own trail mix bar, fun raffles to win, a smoothie-making bike, a Story Laurie musical performance, Scavenger Hunt, and lots of activities presented by local ecological organizations, this will be an extraordinary day celebrating the earth together! The weather looks beautiful so we look forward to seeing everyone there! 🌎 🌼 🌳

📣 ATTN: Elementary School Parents 📣

We are hosting the 🐧 Penguin Patch Kids Holiday Shop 🛍️ this Friday, December 5, 2025 during school hours. Your child will be able to participate in an educational, fun, and exciting experience. 🎁

📌 Parent volunteers & DA Staff will assist children while shopping to allow them to purchase surprise gifts for loved ones. Over 100 different gifts can be purchased for as little as $0.25 and up to $12.00 each. The Holiday Shop is a fun, unique way to empower your children with generosity!

💌 You’ll receive a flyer with envelope this week for the event. Please ensure that the Gift List Budget Envelope is completed and returned (with cash or check) to school by Friday, December 5th in their school folder. Please don’t let your child miss this opportunity to grow and experience the spirit of giving!

If you’re writing a check (instead of cash) please make all checks payable to: DA PTA
