Delaware Area Career Center DACC offers high school super-elective classes in partnership with the Delaware County high schools to prepare students for college & their careers.

Adults can take full time or part time courses to launch a new career or become more employable. Today, we continued a long-standing tradition here at DACC, where our principals and counselors deliver ice cream and DACC t-shirts to our new and returning students on the first Friday of the school year.

It's our way of saying 'thank you' for choosing DACC -- and our way of celebrating a successful start to what will surely be a fantastic year together.

Calvin Higgins (Construction Technology, Class of 2025) has been back on campus this summer, this time as an intern with Elford, Inc. helping with the DACC facilities project. We spotted him in the Cosmetology lab, one of the spaces that’s been under construction and expanded to accept more students.

We appreciate Elford's continued partnership and commitment to supporting our students and graduates. It's always exciting to see those connections turn into career opportunities.

We’re excited to kick off the first day of school for the 2026–2027 school year!

As DACC continues to grow, we’re listening closely to feedback from our community and business partners. Together, they're helping shape the kinds of opportunities they want to see for students and the future workforce. We’re proud to respond to that input in meaningful ways.

This year includes exciting program growth, including an expanded Cosmetology program, along with plans to add LPN, Veterinary Science, and Electrical Trades programs, as well as a second section of our Medical Assisting program.

With a record number of students joining us on Monday, our campus is buzzing with energy. Keeping students at the center of everything we do is what makes a new school year so special.
