Sigma Chi Fraternity: Gamma Chapter at Ohio Wesleyan University

The Sigma Chi Gamma Chapter at Ohio Wesleyan is the second chapter to be founded bu Sigma Chi in 1855.Currently, we are serving as the parent chapter of the fraternity. me together to form one of the strongest chapters at Ohio Wesleyan. Another aspect at the core of Sigma Chi is service. Each year in the city of Delaware, the chapter volunteers in the Delaware All-Horse Parade and maintains litter control on a section of Route 36 through the Adopt-a-Highway program. The largest service effort, however, is Derby Days which is part of a nationwide fundraiser to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network. Each year the fraternity hosts a week of activities and friendly competition among the sororities to raise money for this cause. With a rich history spanning back to before the Civil War, Sigma Chi prides itself on fraternal excellence. Development of upstanding men is the primary goal of the fraternity. The Gamma Chapter is a cohesive and diverse brotherhood that provides an example of how many different kinds of men can share the common goals of “knowledge, wisdom, and character.”
