Summer love sent from Alpha Rho! 🐢☀️

We wanted to shine a light on some academic ventures and other work our sisters have been up to this summer!

Alida spent this summer working at preservation parks!

Lily did a Biology SSRP studying gravitropism by analyzing reactive oxygen species with Dr. Wolverton!

Jocelyn spent a month in Bocas Del Toro, Panama working with local doctors in helping the animals of indigenous communities in the area!

Julia spent a month in Costa Rica studying pottery and learning how to make traditional pottery in her classes!

Meredith is doing a semester at Disney University in Florida!

Less than a month until move-in, see you soon!

Jocelyn, Kylee, Chloe, and Bailey traversed to Oxford, Ohio to the Alpha chapter of Delta Zeta for the Norma Minch Andrisek Leadership Conference 🩷🐢

Our sisters got to meet other Delta Zeta members from across the country, go on a hike for hearing, make bracelets showing off our core values, and so much more! Thank you to these emerging leaders for repping OWU at NMALC! 💕 DZLAM

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: .how 🩷🌎🐢🤍

Maddy (PC ‘23) is from Avon Lake, OH double majoring in environmental studies and geography. Post-graduation, she will be earning her Masters of Science in Geography at Ohio University.

Maddy’s favorite DZ memory is all the spontaneous hangouts- from giving out halloween candy at the house, to game nights and movie nights, and laughing for hours on end. She’s going to miss it so much!

To current and future members she says “Take advantage of every opportunity you get- go to events, talk to someone you don’t know as well, try that leadership position (and it’s ok if you don’t get it, some of the most important leaders are those you can go to for advice and have knowledge about the chapter itself!) and have fun with it! DZ gave me so much and I hope it gives you great experiences as well “

Meredith (PC ‘23) is from Washington, PA double majoring in zoology and educational studies. Post-graduation, she will be going back to working at Disney World and working with animals there.

Meredith’s favorite DZ memory was when a group decided to join an intramural volleyball team. To current and future members she says “do as much as you can! You get out of Greek life what you it into it. It can get overwhelming but it can also be so much fun!”

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: 👩‍🏫🩷🧸🐢

Irini (PC ‘23) is from Worthington, OH double majoring in AYA Education and English. Post-graduation, she will be spending the summer with her family and traveling. She will be staying in Columbus with the Columbus Alumni Chapter of Delta Zeta and seeking out opportunities in the education field.

Irini’s favorite DZ memory was opening her bid card freshman year and running home to DZ. She’s so grateful for all the memories she has made with her sisters since. To current and future members she says “savor every moment and take advantage of the time you have as an active member!.”
