Last week, the United Methodist Foundation of West Ohio held a lunch at MTSO to celebrate the Alford-Cantlin Fellows, a group of students within our Doctor of Ministry program. The fellowship is a partnership between the Foundation, West Ohio Conference of The United Methodist Church, and MTSO to support United Methodist clergy seeking leadership opportunities and academic training focused on transformational change.

April Casperson, MTSO's director of enrollment management, was selected by the Council of Bishops to serve on a significant planning committee for the United Methodist Church. The committee is tasked with planning the inaugural session of the UMC's U.S. Regional Conference, a new group that will establish policies specific to the U.S.

Organizers are beginning to plan The United Methodist Church’s inaugural U.S. Regional Conference. While excited about the work, the group faces some big challenges.
