Teammates. The reason I love softball as much as I do. I would have done anything for them and I knew they always had my back, and still do. (This is a picture of me hitting my first homerun in college and they were more excited for me, than I was for myself). That’s love.

When you join a team, it’s no longer about YOU. Get over yourself or give up team sports if you think differently.

I’ve recently had an experience of multiple players being incredibly selfish and quitting during the season on their teammates. This seems to be becoming the norm and it’s got to stop. Players and parents, do better. Follow through on commitments. If you think selfish behavior will get you far on a college roster, you’re dead wrong.

Never take a rep or your sport in general for granted. Love every second of it because it won't be around forever 🤍

It takes a team to win ball games. Instead of pouting, be honest with yourself. Did I work harder than the girl starting over me? Did I get extra reps in this week to show how bad I want it? Did I stay one rep ahead of my opponent each day this week?

Mental health is so important to me as a coach. I expect 110% out of my athletes every day but they can't give you that if their mind is elsewhere. Check in on your athletes and help guide them through the tough times! 💚
