The Running Comet team was a bit smaller this weekend, Katie Stearns and Autumn Gorecki
were asked to do a little extra running Saturday. The two of them travelled to the UW-Platteville campus
for the Dick McKichan Platteville Invitational.

Autumn ran an impressive 25:38 with over 100 runners in her race. Great Work!!

Katie finished 18th with a time of 20:44, a new personal best, which now places her 2nd all-time for the fastest
3.1 mile girl in DDHS history. She replaces Edith Flores, who just happens to be the team’s assistant coach.
Congrats!!

Last week was a busy week for the Comets. First of all, thank you to the Epping family for hosting another delicious pasta dinner! Then on Tuesday, the Comets traveled to Whitewater and came up just short in a competitive 69-88 meet against the Whippets, but there was still plenty to celebrate. 💙🏊 The team combined for 16 personal best times, showing the hard work and dedication that’s paying off every day. This past weekend the Comets traveled to Janesville for the annual Parker Relays Invite. The team showed a lot of grit and perseverance with last minute changes to the line up and swimming some new events. Together they put up 5 relay best times out of 8 races and an additional 17 individual best times!
