The Delavan Flying Dragons Martial Arts has been in the Delavan, WI area since January 1983, and has been run by the same Instructor, Master Joe A. He is a wonderful person who works well with all different sorts of individuals. He uses what each individual does in their daily lives as a way of teaching them his form of Karate, which helps them understand and pick up martial arts easier and quicke

r. Master Murphy also has Mr. Chance Eldridge, 4th Degree Black Belt, assisting him as the Head Instructor, overseeing curriculum for the student population.

Before he was Master Murphy, he was already taking flight! 👊🔥

Here’s a throwback to a much younger Master Murphy showing off the Flying Dragons’ signature Flying Side Thrust Kick, and he was only a 2nd Degree Black Belt at the time!

That kind of technique doesn’t happen by accident. Years of training, timing, balance, flexibility, and a whole lot of determination go into getting airborne like this. 🥋💥

Martial arts isn't just about kicks, punches, or earning the next belt. It's about becoming a stronger, more confident version of yourself.

For kids, it can teach discipline, focus, confidence, respect, and perseverance. For teens, it can provide a positive outlet, build self-esteem, and teach them how to handle challenges. For adults, it's a way to stay active, relieve stress, build confidence, and continue challenging yourself. And for our older students, it's a great way to keep moving, stay sharp, and remain connected to a community.

From toddlers taking their first steps onto the mat to seniors proving that age is just a number, there's always something to gain from martial arts.
