📣 The DDSD Board of Education has reappointed Anthony Klein as Interim Superintendent for the 2026–2027 school year, effective July 1, 2026. Mr. Klein, who currently serves as the District's Business Administrator, will once again lead the district while the BOE conducts a comprehensive search for the next superintendent.
💙💛 Board President David Henriott expressed the Board's confidence in the appointment, stating, "Anthony understands our district, our priorities, and the relationships that make our schools strong. His leadership will provide stability and continuity throughout this transition."
💬 "My commitment is to provide steady leadership, support our outstanding staff, and ensure every decision we make continues to put students first. I look forward to working alongside our staff, families, and community to continue building on the great work happening across DDSD," said Klein.

The dual language coordinator position is on the agenda. The advisory committee was neither informed nor consulted of this agenda item. We hope any decision regarding this is tabled until the advisory committee has the opportunity to make recommendations.

We believe families and community members deserve to be informed about decisions and processes that impact our Dual Language Program. We are sharing the committee roster and roles to help keep our community informed.

The committee’s first meeting is tomorrow, and we are hopeful this process will lead to meaningful collaboration, transparency, and a stronger future for our Dual Language Program.

We will continue to provide updates as information becomes available.

🎓 It’s a bittersweet day across as we cheer on the DDHS Class of 2026 graduates on their final day of high school. 👏 Join us downtown today at approximately 10:00 AM at Tower Park as our seniors take one final stroll through Delavan before heading into their next chapter. 💙💛

📚 Dual Language programs are not just an investment in students — they are a smart investment for districts too. They help reduce costly pull-out and intervention services while providing powerful enrichment opportunities for English-speaking students as well.

🎓📚 A professor shared powerful insight on the many ways districts can collaborate to recruit and grow certified bilingual teachers. The reality is — when there is a will, there is a way.

Strong dual language programs do not sustain themselves.

✅ They require leadership, vision, advocacy, and someone dedicated to building partnerships, supporting staff, and planning for the future.

✅ That is why the Director position is vital to the continued success and growth of the Dual Language Program. 💙💛
