May students of the month at DIS were recognized for their hard work!! Congratulations

Students at the elementary school sent off seniors with congratulatory signs held up during a final walk through the halls.

Students who receive the FIT-DIS Award have earned recognition for scoring in the 85th percentile or higher on every fitness assessment completed in class. This means they performed better than 85% of students nationwide of the same age and gender in each area tested. The fitness assessments measure flexibility, muscular strength, muscular endurance, speed, agility, and cardiovascular endurance.

Graduation Ceremony, 1:30 p.m. on May 31 in the TAC at Delano High School. Graduation is a ticketed event this year. All spectators must have a ticket to enter the TAC for the ceremony. If you’d like to be on campus to participate in the festivities but do not have a ticket, we will be streaming the event in our PAC.

Third graders took an exciting STEP toward next year with a visit to the Intermediate School! While it may only be across the street, becoming 4th graders is a big milestone. Students explored the building, met staff, and got a glimpse of the exciting opportunities waiting for them. We are proud of these future 4th graders and can’t wait to welcome them back in the fall!

Hamburgers, hacky sack and yearbooks at the high school could only mean one thing...summer vacation is near.
