Our recital on November 7 at 10:30am is getting close! We will be using Google Meets. I will send out an invitation earlier that day either by email or text. You may have to check both. Sorry.

Most students are playing songs from their normal books, but anything I approve is fair game. If they haven’t picked a song yet, it will happen this week.

I will be recording the whole thing and then posting it on Donna Carroll’s Piano Studio on YouTube. It’s been awhile since anything was posted there. I can’t wait! If you can’t join us on the 7th, please chat with me about how to record and send it to me so I can still post it.

Speaking of recording, I need each family to copy, paste and personalize the following:
I give Donna Carroll permission to record (my student(s) name) and post it on Donna Carroll’s Piano Studio on YouTube. (Parent’s name).
Then, please text it to me. THANKS!

Please feel free to make some signs you can hold up while a student is playing. (My daughter-in-love’s great idea). The signs can say: GREAT! FABULOUS! Or any positive comment that would be appropriate. I will be muting people who aren’t playing, so we don’t have to worry about dogs barking and kid (and parent) noise. Feel free to clap, jump and down, or whatever. Students have NO dress code! They can wear a costume that reflects their song. Or just shorts and a T-shirt. Or frilly dresses. This is our first one of these, and I just want us to have fun!

If you have any more ideas, PLEASE let me know! I love you folks, and I miss all of your hugs! See you at lessons this week!

School is about to start. Please be sure your lesson time will work with the school schedule. We will continue lessons online for the foreseeable future. As you have probably noticed, lessons have been a bit longer online. Thank you for your patience with that.

I am planning a recital via Zoom on November 7 at 10:30am. Please put it on your calendar. We will record it and then upload it to our page on YouTube, Donna Carroll’s Piano Studio. Then you can share it with family and friends.

Happy Spring Break! Enjoy!!
Please help me plan for the future. Since Miss Mary & I fall into the very high risk group, we need to be cautious. Due to the Covid-19 problem, we are giving you options for the next several weeks. Please be sure to let me know what you want to do.

We will not have lessons on site until at least March 31. HOWEVER, we can easily continue lessons via FaceTime, Messenger, or WhatsApp. Or whatever you use for video. We can do this computer or phone. If all we can do is call, we can still successfully have a lesson. I have done all of this for years with students who have moved and students who are sick but still want a lesson. Miss Amanda and I look forward to seeing/hearing you! Please let us know you received this.

You can either send us a check through the mail, or wait till we get back to the “studio.” Thanks for your support and your love.

We have a recital date! Saturday, May 2. It is a smaller room, so if everyone comes (best case scenario), we will need to split into two groups. Please help us plan by letting us know as soon as possible if your family will be involved. For new families to the studio, our recitals are very relaxed. Students are already excited about it! Please put May 2 on your calendar, and let me know if your student can be a part of this fun event.

I am SO excited to be back to teaching! So is Zoey! She has extra people back in the house!! She just can’t hold her licker, and they have loved it!! Thank you, once again, for being so patient with me. You all are wonderful!!!
