Your CGE PTA Executive Board met today to continue our monthly review of all agreed upon activities, events, fundraisers, and school-wide support for our students and families! With over 380 total memberships (with popsicle parties for top classes happening soon), 153 of which are students, a fabulous Penny Wars, and an amazing spirit shirt sale, we have already outpaced last year! Even with that great success, we have much more to do and celebrate. We look forward to your continued involvement and support with the following CGE PTA sponsored events: CGE PTA Walk-a-Thon Kickoff (10/15), Not so Scary Family Night (10/21), CGE PTA Walk-a-Thon (10/29), and Reflections Reception (11/4)! We also will be opening our online store in late October where you can purchase CGE gear, from hoodies to hats! Thank you for being a part of this magical year, where TOGETHER, we are always happier and stronger! PS: Student PTA Members, we will be involving you in our Walk-a-Thon kick off and walking day! Be ready to represent!

Pennies for Popsicles was a HIT with TEAM FIRST GRADE, as CGE PTA Board members presented each student with their popsicle at lunch for winning the 2026 Penny Wars! Team First is appreciative of the support of PTA, where TOGETHER we are happier and stronger! Now, who’s ready for our ANNUAL CGE PTA Walk- a- Thon??!?

💚 Our Citrus Grove PTA family keeps growing! This is our most up-to-date list of PTA members, and it doesn’t even include all of our amazing
grandparents, community members, students, and others who have joined and supported our Eagles!
We are so excited to see our PTA membership continue to grow and are incredibly thankful for everyone who has joined us. A super exciting addition to our membership this year are our student memberships. All students that joined for $5 received a mini Eagle, with 7 lucky students (one from each grade level) winning a Plushie Eagle when their name was drawn yesterday on the news (SWIPE to see their photos). Although the contest for our Plushie Eagle is over, any new student members can still receive their mini Eagle!
There’s still room for you, too! Everyone is welcome to join CGE PTA, and membership is just $5. Join us today:

With many thanks to our entire CGE Framily and Community, we are happy to announce the winners in our classroom competition and our student membership completion for an Eagle plushie. We had 8 classroom winners that will be celebrated next week at lunch, while our 7 student membership winners were announced on the news, with three of them receiving their Eagle plushie today. We will congratulate our other 4 winners tomorrow, in person. Your combined interest in joining PTA has already been noted and recognized by our local and state councils, an honor we are very proud of! Membership remains open, please click the link in our bio as every member counts, as together, we are stronger and happier!

We look forward to celebrating the results of our Penny Wars and PTA Membership drive this week or next. We are immensely grateful for all the fun and support you have provided, making this one of our most successful PTA years on record! Let’s keep that momentum going as we prepare for funding student activities and events, and organizing for our FUNDRAISER of the year: CGE PTA Walk-a-Thon! TOGETHER, we are as happy as can be, and quite a bit stronger! Reach out with any questions and if interested in volunteering with all our upcoming activities.

It was a race to the Penny Wars finish, with so many donations pouring in today! I wonder who will top the leaderboard and earn the popsicle party?! We can’t wait to see the final count and amount later today. Thank you to all our VOLUNTEERS and special thanks to our PTA President, Mrs. Turner, for her daily counting and amounting! She is definitely our Princess Peach! 🦅

UPDATE: Penny Wars was on a roll today as students brought in gobs of coins by hand, ziploc bag, cans, and even piggy banks! There were also many cash donations to the buckets, with the total amount collected well over $500!! The leaderboard also saw some major changes with Team 5th moving into 3rd Place while 1st Grade remained in First Place, with 4th Grade right behind. TOMORROW is our LAST DAY! Do a final sweep of those couch cushions, car seats, pockets, and any secret containers for coins that want a new home with CGE! All proceeds go right back to our students, so it’s a win win! I can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow, when we the donations decide which grade level wins the popsicle party at lunch!!! Let’s go!

In total we have raised almost $400! The race is truly on as we have just TWO DAYS remaining of this super challenge! Our volunteers will be out in the main courtyard again, prepared to accept your coins and dollars from those piggy banks! Who will top the leader board tomorrow? 🦅
