We strive to provide top notch study abroad opportunities for all Stetson students in a variety of fields. With twenty partner programs in cities ranging from Seoul, South Korea to Leicester, England includin

g language learning programs in Spain, Russia, Germany, and France and numerous affiliate programs literally all over the world, we are proud to offer Stetson a cornucopia of abroad options. WORLD is also equally committed to enhancing the abroad presence on Stetson's campus. Through our partner programs and our international admissions we work diligently to promote the already diverse student body at Stetson. By hosting programs like International Learning Week, we hope to encourage international students and US students to mix on campus and share their cultures with one another.

Over Spring Break, students in the Latin American and Latino Studies Mentored Field Experience (led by Dr. Ankeny) traveled to Puerto Rico. Throughout the semester, they’ve been researching topics connected to the island’s history, culture, and communities. This immersive experience gave them the chance to engage with Puerto Rican culture firsthand while gathering insights and perspectives for their projects. 🇵🇷

Students in the Voices of Oaxaca: Studies in Indigenous Practices, Activism, and Advocacy course (led by Dr. Petrovic and Dr. Deckman) spent spring break learning directly from community leaders, artists, and activists in Oaxaca Mexico. From a ceramic workshop and printmaking with local artists to conversations with NGOs about land defense and community advocacy, every experience deepened their understanding of Indigenous knowledge and resistance.

They hiked with a Zapotec community to learn about medicinal plants, shared a communal cooking experience, explored local markets, and visited the ancient Zapotec city of Monte Albán.
