A bad spot, changing winds, traffic, pattern errors… Plan A can change quickly.

Knowing your outs before the jump gives you more time, more options, and a much better chance of making the right decision when it matters. 🪂

Three off-DZ landings at the start of the course. By the end, David was a couple of meters from the target. 👀

David Schneider joined Paul Dorward for Flight-1 101 & 102 at Skydive Hibaldstow with some clear areas to work on.

By the end of the course, his accuracy had improved dramatically and he even took the win in the 102 accuracy competition. 🏆

20 years of Flight-1. 🪂

What started with a goal to help skydivers fly safer has grown into 20 years of learning, teaching, evolving and pushing canopy education forward.

Our 20th Anniversary Documentary looks back at the people who built Flight-1, the instructors who have shaped it, and the evolution of the technology, knowledge and training that has changed canopy flight over the past two decades.

A lot has changed in 20 years. The commitment to keep learning and flying better together hasn’t.

Every bit of tech has an origin story. This one started hanging from a garage girder. 😅

The started with a pretty ambitious question: how do you make virtual canopy training actually feel like flying?

That meant going beyond what you see in the headset. The goal was to create a full-body training environment where the movement, flight dynamics and visual experience work together, then combine it with the canopy knowledge and training methodology Flight-1 has built over decades.

A lot of engineering, testing and teamwork later, that idea became the S1M.
