Good morning! We are just two weeks away from our first of the year!

I was in contact with Mayor Cloudman yesterday afternoon. He still has us on the schedule and plans to attend!

Deland PD is on standby to provide our police es**rt!

Our first-ever Bike Bus Summer Ride was this morning and we had a blast riding through nature together! Thank you to everyone who was able to make it! If you missed it, no worries, we will do it again next summer!!

Only two more days until our Bike Bus Summer Ride! All are welcome! Even if you can’t make the ride, come around 10:00, and your kiddo will get a chance to reconnect with their friends on the playground!☀️🌳🚴‍♂️🚲🚲🚲🚲🚴‍♂️🌳

Here are some things to know before you go…

ARRIVAL: Please park by the playground. As you come in the entrance, make a right at the stop sign to find the parking lot.

BEFORE THE RIDE: We will meet at 9 and take off between 9:15-9:30, once everyone arrives and we get a group picture. The kids can use the playground while we wait, but cannot ride their bikes around that area as it is prohibited in that part of the park for safety reasons. I would suggest leaving their bikes by your vehicle until it is time to ride!

THE RIDE: The ride will be about 3 miles w/ a quick cooling break 1/2 way through. It should take about 20-30 minutes total.

AFTER THE RIDE: Once we return, there will be bottled water, breakfast bars, and fresh fruit provided as the kids use the playground. Bucket toss and co****le will be set up, too! Both pavilions are reserved until noon. Bring a water bottle just in case.😊

IMPORTANT: Do a safety check on your child’s bike prior to arrival. Please make sure they have helmets and any other protective gear that you wish them to have!

I took a trip down to Gemini Springs Park to scout out the route for our Bike Bus Summer Ride next week! Here is a little sneak peek at what to expect!🌳🚴‍♂️🚲🚲🚲🚴‍♂️🌳

Distance: 3 miles (mostly shade, cool down break 1/2 way through)

Duration: about 20-30 minutes

Educational opportunities: Kids will learn about following signs and pavement markings for safety. I may call out a few plant names along the way!🤣

I received the year in review email from today, and we are all part of a global movement that more than doubled in size this year!

I also received the check in the mail for the Spring Pump Up The Bike Bus Award! Stay tuned to see how that $ will be given back to the Freedom Community!

Ok Falcon Families and friends, I am excited to announce that we are all set for our Freedom Falcon Bike Bus Summer Ride! 😊

I went ahead and reserved both pavilions by the playground for the morning of Friday, 7/17/26. That is 3 weeks from tomorrow! The plan is to meet up at 9:00, ride the trails for a bit, then head back to the pavilions for some refreshments and fun on the playground!

Bring a water bottle to hydrate! I’m working on getting some fruit, snacks, and water donated from the school and Publix! If anyone has any connects, please reach out!

Being it is summer, plan to arrive a little early if you can, to get a better parking spot. Although in my experience, it shouldn’t be too much of an issue. It is a large parking lot!

Dr. Nehrig and Mrs. Murray LOVE this idea and said they will do their best to join the fun!

If there are any other specifics that I think of, I will share them as we get closer to the 17th!
