FRC Team 4063, TriKzR4Kidz, would like to recognize one of its own exceptional Bunnies, Mark Rodriguez!

Mark has been named a District Championship Semi-Finalist for the FIRST Leadership Award, an honor that recognizes outstanding and passionate student leaders who demonstrate exemplary effectiveness in advancing the ideals of FIRST.

Mark was nominated for this recognition because of his ability to lead among his peers and his passion for teaching and inspiring the next generation of engineers and Bunnies. His dedication, leadership, and willingness to mentor others make him an outstanding representative of Team 4063. Mark will advance to the State Championship where he will continue to compete for a spot as a finalist for the FIRST Leadership Award.

Mark is currently a sophomore at Del Rio High School and is the son of Mark and Giselle Rodriguez.

DISTINGUISHED U.S. PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM RECOGNIZES 2025 DRHS GRADUATE

Recent graduate and Class of 2025 Salutatorian, Amanda Emmanuelle Ong, has been named a U.S. Presidential Scholar in Career and Technical Education. Being named a U.S. Presidential Scholar is considered one of the nation’s most prestigious academic awards for high school graduates.

U.S. Secretary Of Education, Linda McMahon, announced the names of the 2025 class of U.S. Presidential Scholars last Friday. This year’s group, the 61st in the program’s history, consisted of 161 outstanding high school seniors, who were selected for their accomplishments in academics, the arts, and career and technical education fields as well as for commitments to community service and leadership.

Amanda is one of only 20 students nationwide selected to receive the prestigious U.S. Presidential Scholar in Career and Technical Education. She is currently attending the University of Texas at Austin majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in robotics. On behalf of the San Felipe Del Rio CISD Board of Trustees, the Superintendent of Schools, and the entire SFDRCISD family, we congratulate Amanda for her incredible academic achievement and for receiving such a great recognition!
