Ruben Chavira Elem. Parents R.C.E. News, Updates, & Celebrations Ruben Chavira Elementary is one of seven elementary schools located in the SFDR-CISD.

We serve around 500 kinder through 5th graders. Strong teachers, amazing students, wonderful faculty, fantastic office staff and hard-working administrators make for one AWESOME team!

Parents, open communication between parents and teachers is vital for your child’s success. Our school uses Class Dojo to send messages and share class photos. Make sure that you sign up at your child’s Orientation and make sure to check it daily to stay in contact with your child’s teacher.

When you are getting your little Cougar ready for school don’t forget to get a Sharpie and label their belongings. We suggest that you write their first name, grade level, and teacher’s name on any coats, lunchboxes, backpacks, and water bottles. Every year our Lost and Found becomes overwhelmed with all of the items that children forget is theirs.
